• The Rooney Factor

The big injury news this week was Wayne Rooneyֳ hamstring injury which he picked up in training on Friday.ʠHeֳ been by far and away the biggest point-scoring player so far with 59 points from five games.ʠThe big factor this week is how would the Fantasy teams with Rooney in cope with his loss? Could the teams without him gain some ground?ʠFor this Fantasy footballer it was a resounding no (more on my miserable week later).

The highest point scorer in the PhysioRoom.com Fantasy Football league was Stephen Jacques.ʠHe annoyingly has mentioned this more than once today.ʠHis team racked up an impressive 77 points. Ramires scored twice gaining him 15 points. A very good choice for this week, but I֭ uncertain of whether he can consistently pick up that many points.ʠAaron Ramsey assisted twice in Arsenalֳ 3-0 win against Bolton, which meant he acquired 10 points.ʠHe seems to be stepping up in the absence of Cesc Fabregas, et al.ʠStephenֳ team didnִ seem to miss Wayne Rooney, as Luis Suarez scored and Kun Aguero assisted Mario Ӵhe maverickӠBalotelliֳ goal.ʠEnsuring his remaining two strikers earned him 21 points (Aguero was his captain).ʠHis back five contributed too scoring him a further 28 points.

Shocking is the only way to describe Stuart Mills rapid plunge down the PhysioRoom.com league table.ʠHe didnִ cope with Rooneyֳ loss as well as Stephen.ʠHe scored the leagueֳ lowest total with 36 points.ʠHe only had Jose Bosingwa who scored over five points.ʠBosingwa managed to make an assist and receive a two point bonus, meaning he scored seven points.ʠStuartֳ only plus point for the week was that he made him captain, which upped his tally to 14 points.

Last yearֳ champion Kyle Lovett-Blackwell (nowhere near as posh as he sounds) is having a pitiful season in ninth place.ʠThe worst thing I can say about his team is that Danny Shittu is in it.ʠActually, that is a lie.ʠThe worst thing about it is that he has six players which are in my team.ʠKyle has gone for Joe Hart in his nets which I think will score him points throughout the season.ʠHowever, I donִ think heֳ good value at ö.9m.ʠOther than Aguero, Silva and Bosingwa none of his other players did anything of note.

I donִ have Wayne Rooney in my team but that didnִ stop me having an awful week.ʠIt started ok with the early game on Saturday. David Silva continued to amaze with a breathtaking assist for James Milner. My captain Kun Aguero (as previously mentioned) got an assist too. This week I took out of my team Roger Johnson.ʠHe scored an own goal and scored minus one point which was particularly pleasing. However, I replaced him with Wes Brown. Sunderlandֳ abject display last night at Norwich meant he scored one point.ʠI made a second transfer removing WolvesՠMatt Jarvis for QPRֳ Sean Wright-Phillips.ʠLetֳ just say that didnִ work out either.ʠI had Emmanuel Adebayor (four points) and Jose Bosingwa (seven points).ʠOther than that my other seven players scored me a whole 11 points!!!ʠWow!!!ʠI need to get out of the habit of making more than one transfer a week.ʠIt costs me four points, but I֭ too impatient and like to make drastic cuts.ʠI decided to leave Daniel Sturridge in my team.ʠI wish I֤ have swapped him for Demba Ba who bagged a hat-trick for Newcastle.ʠI could pretend that I thought about bringing in Ba but I really didnִ.ʠI think itֳ time to remove Samir Nasri out of my team as heֳ done very little since I added him.ʠAgain, it does mean he will score lots of points away to Blackburn Rovers next week.ʠMy team is below.

As always please donִ forget to check out the PhysioRoom.com Premier League Injury Table before you make any transfers this week.
