At the time of writing precisely five minutes before Monday night football I quickly gather my thoughts and compose myself considering what can only be described as one Hell of a welcome back to the EPL.
Currently perched on top of the pile I couldnִ have asked or hoped for a better start in the PhysioRoom All Star League, but I fear my glory may be short lived as I go into tonight’s match with zero players, the chasing pack having assembled a combination of defenders / attackers just itching to get points on the board. A solid performance from PhysioRoom’s own Pete Lilley and friend of the team Paul Wood make up the top 3 with FiT representative and self-professed All Star Tim Smith close behind.
Of our high profile players Warren Barton and Adam Richman give a decent account of themselves on this first weekend hovering around mid-table but Handbags at 10 paces already has ground to make-up կverseas travel is no excuse Mick!ՠThe lasses appear to be struggling as England and GB Deaf Footballer Claire Stancliffe represents our female contingent, ˦lying the flag from a lowly 14th place #ComeOnGirls must do better…
Manchester once again provided the most in terms of talking points, RVP aside the Aguero knee injury proved the most worrying of the weekend from a City perspective although initial fears of a lengthy spell on the side lines have since subsided with weeks as opposed to months while the Red of United were left to wonder how long Rio (hamstring) would be missing. Alan PardewsՠNewcastle United provided the biggest headache for FFL managers. Mind games more akin to Նergieՠor Քhe Chosen Oneՠhad potentially six of the Toon players missing but come kick-off Tiote (calf), Ben Arfa (knee), Ba (shin), Cabaye (fitness) were all available to start with Coloccini (thigh) missing out and Shola Ameobi injuring a hamstring in the warm-up.
My most worrying thought, I only have one way to go from here Рlets just hope my fall isnִ too hard or too fast, signing out Week One pre- Everton vs Manchester United leader PhysioRoom.com Ben.
