• Running for a Worthy Cause

Well here we go, in less than three days I will be standing at the start line of this year’s 2011 Edinburgh Marathon – hoping I live to tell the tale, wishing I֤ trained a little more and wondering once again why did I agree to do this!!

    Mueller Calf Support

You see with the best will and intention, life always manages to scupper some of the best laid plans and for one reason or another training hasnִ exactly gone to plan. Firstly I picked up a niggling calf injury, nothing too serious but more rest requiredɠI have started to use a Mueller Calf Support which has certainly helped; I֭ also struggling with an adductor injury for which I am using the Coretection Coreshorts Rehab and Sorbothane Sorbo-Pro Insoles to help improve foot biomechanics. Overall I feel like an extra from the Six Million Dollar Man.

However when these minor problems seem to get me down I remember exactly why I֭ doing this, and the opportunity to raise for money for a worthy cause will hopefully give me the strength to get around the 26.2 mile course. This year I have decided to run for Marie Curie Cancer Care, a charity very close to my heart. I do have an initial target of õ00 but hope to surpass this and any monies donated will be greatly appreciated.

If you would like to contribute to my fund please feel free to follow my online link:ʼa href=”http://www.justgiving.com/thebigdinn”> www.justgiving.com/thebigdinn

So for the moment thatֳ me done, wish me luck and hope to be back soon…
