David Wales is a clinical specialist physiotherapist, based in London, who specialises in sports injury treatment and rehabilitation. David played football for England Under 18’s and was a professional player with Sunderland AFC before sustaining a career-ending fractured Femur and becoming a physiotherapist. He completed his graduate degree in physiotherapy at the University of Manchester, where his clinical education included a student placement at Manchester United FC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He worked full time in professional football for almost fifteen years, after joining Charlton Athletic FC in 1998. He earned a Master of Science degree in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation from the University of the West of England, before joining Arsenal FC in 2001. David also has post-graduate certification in Advanced Resuscitation and Emergency Aid, Prescribing Medicines, Manual Therapy, Acupuncture, Psychological Therapies, Strength and Conditioning, and Olympic Lifting. In 2000 David co-founded PhysioRoom.com, using his advanced knowledge of sports injuries to provide education and products to help people recover better from their injuries. David now works full time at North London Physiotherapy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

David has gained a wealth of experience treating elite level athletes as well as recreational athletes for almost twenty years. He has specialist knowledge in the treatment of ankle sprains and ankle fractures as well as all knee problems, particularly ACL and meniscal (cartilage) surgery rehabilitation. Outside of treating professional athletes David has practised in Harley Street and in North London where he has considerable experience treating non-athletes with a wide variety of problems especially back pain, neck pain, knee pain and shoulder pain. David works closely with London’s leading orthopaedic clinics and is the physiotherapist of choice for many consultant orthopaedic surgeons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
