What is it?

How does it work?
During exercise it is important to replace fluids and to ensure that the muscle energy stores don't get depleted. A fluid loss of 2% of your body weight can reduce your performance by 20%. Other effects of dehydration are cramps, headache and overheating.
During exercise, besides losing fluid through sweat, you also lose muscle energy stores (glycogen) and minerals. A depletion of your glycogen stores can reduce your performance by up to 50%. The best remedy is to sip a hypotonic sports drink during exercise. This contains the ingredients your body needs to restore the fluid balance, carbohydrate store (glycogen) and minerals.
When to use it
Hand out the bottles when your team wants to replace energy and quench their thirst. This helps to prevent fatigue and dehydration.
