What is Petroleum Jelly?
A small (50g) tub of Vaseline / Petroleum Jelly for skin care and the prevention of friction.
When can I use it?
- To provide a temporary barrier over cuts, grazes and abrasions.
- Apply to dry skin.
- Apply to skin to prevent friction and chafing.
- Before running, apply to feet and nipples to prevent blisters and 'jogger's nipple'.
- During triathlons to protect the skin during open water swimming, cycling and running.
How does it work?
Petroleum Jelly provides a physical barrier over open wounds to keep out dirt and bacteria. It also lubricates areas of skin that are prone to friction and chafing.
