3/4 length insoles with soft cushions for the arch of the foot, suitable for 'hard to fit' shoes. They provide less support than Spenco(r) Orthotic Arch Supports.

How it Works

These replacement 3/4 length arch supports are made from the same cushioning material as Spenco(r) Standard Insoles, but have a soft arch cushion for extra comfort and support for the arch of the foot.

Increased pronation of the foot (uncontrolled lowering of the arch) is a cause of many running injuries, such as IlioTibial Band Friction Syndrome, Shin Splints and Plantar Fasciitis. Over pronation due to fallen arches or flat feet can lead to increased tension and pain in the IlioTibial Band when running.

Similarly, in Plantar Fasciitis (pain in the bottom of the foot) there may be a problem with the biomechanics of the foot, contributing to the foot pain. Increased pronation can lead to tightness in the Achilles tendon and recent research has suggested that a tight Achilles tendon can increase strain on the Plantar Fascia, causing painful inflammation and heal pain.

Spenco(r) 3/4 Length Arch Cushions can also be very helpful in cases of Shin Splints and shin pain. The amount of stress being placed on the shins can be minimised by correcting problems such as flat feet and fallen arches with arch supports.

When to use it

Spenco(r) 3/4 Length Arch Cushions can be effective in the treatment and prevention of heel pain, shin pain and knee pain. 3/4 length is more suitable for 'hard to fit' shoes where a full insole would make wearing the shoe uncomfortable.
