How does it work?
The flexible shell extends from the back of the Calf, around the heel and under the sole of the foot. It's fully lined for comfort and has two adjustable straps between the Calf and sole of the foot which, when tightened, pull the toes up towards the shin. This 'dorsiflexed' position stretches the tissue of the sole of the foot known as the Plantar Fascia.
When this stretch is sustained for a prolonged period (e.g. overnight) the Plantar Fascia is held in a better position for healing. Research has shown that night splinting is effective in relieving symptoms in over 80% of cases of Plantar Fasciitis.

“Relief”

Finally found some relief with the above. I had terrible trouble when first getting out of Bed in the morning, so painful that the only way to get around was to hop on one foot, might seem funny, but it certainly is NOT. Now I find after wearing the Night Splint, I can move around more freely. This is not a cure, but does give some relief. Only downside, it is not comfortable, and I find myself waking frequently. But if you like me, are willing to persevere it is well worth the money spent. Good service from PhysioRoom re: delivery.

I suffered from PF in my right foot for 3 months, the first steps every morning were extremely painful until my foot was "warmed up", and then I hobbled during the day. Decided to try the splint which was with me in 36 hours. After wearing the splint for one night the pain was gone, no more pain in the morning. It seems to hold the foot in the right extended position for the tendon to heel. I could walk bare foot on flat hard floors within a week. You will get used to wearing it very quickly, its very light and not uncomfortable. You will also need to sort out your footware, use good quality padded / gel insoles. I would not hesitate to recommend the splint to anyone with PF.

I do about 25-30 a week - jogging, I am in my early forties; suddenly I started having heel pains identified as Plantar Fasciitis. I bought this Night splint and it has considerably (95%) reduced the pain. I will certainly recommend this for anyone that has this ailment. It’s effective.
