Description

Pink Kinesiology Tape

Our sleek and stretchy kinesiology tape can help the recovery process involved with sports injuries, muscular tension and joint distortions by providing compression and support. Kinesiology tape was invented by Japanese chiropractor Dr Kenzo Kase during the 1970s, as a way of supporting muscles and joints without restricting movement. The super-thin material has been designed to mimic human skin and creates a lifting effect which promotes healing. We saw it during Euro 2016, as France striker Olivier Giroud and Poland's Jakub Blaszczykowski taped their legs, while during the Rio Olympics, athletes such as long jumper Greg Rutherford and volleyball player Kerri Walsh were also spotted wearing the tape.

This thin and elasticated thereputic tape can:

  • Support muscles during sport
  • Address muscular tension
  • Assist lymphatic drainage
  • Activate endogenous analgesic systems
  • Correct joint problems

Application instructions:

  • Firstly, ensure your skin is clean and dry, taking care to remove any sweat, lotion, oil or water.
  • Don't over-stretch the tape when applying - this may cause skin irritation.
  • Rub the tape after application in order to activate the glue, which is heat-sensitive. Don't use a hairdryer to do this.
  • If possible, avoid applying the tape sooner than 60 minutes before exercise or showering, to give the glue the best chance to stick. After this timeframe, the tape will withstand this exposure and will remain intact for between three to five days.
  • It's rare to suffer a reaction to the tape, but if you've never worn it before, or have sensitive skin, look out for signs of skin irritation.

Tape composition

  • Fabric is made up of cotton (95%), and spandex (5%)
  • Glue is made from 70g/m2 of acrylic acid

Size

  • 5cm x 5m (2" x 5 yards)
