9.5 foot fully adjustable rope. Includes illustrated instructions and exercise programme.
Jump training, or 'plyometrics' is the form of conditioning whereby muscles and tendons are conditioned in such a way that they are able to quickly absorb the force of a landing, then spring straight into a take off. This plyometric power can be enhanced by using a jump rope.
Plyometric training is an advanced form of exercise and should not be attempted by those people who don't already have a good foundation level of fitness.
Ideally a person should have good core stability and strength before attempting plyometric exercises, to avoid the risk of injury.
Plyometric training in children and adolescents is generally not advised unless it is supervised by a chartered physiotherapist or athletic trainer. Unsupervised plyometrics can lead to injury in these groups.
