A delicious yoghurt, mango and raspberry flavoured carbohydrate energy bar.

How does it work?

Maxim energy bars are delicious cereal bars, which are full of high-energy carbohydrates. Low in fat, they are a healthy alternative to chocolate bars and other high-fat snacks. Unlike many similar products, it actually tastes nice, making it an ideal sports supplement.

For those exercising for periods of 90 minutes and above, or those who are doing repeated daily bouts of exercise, then carbohydrate loading to ensure adequate muscle energy is critical. In marathon and distance runners, where the duration of the exercise bout is over two hours, depletion of energy is common and is referred to as 'hitting the wall'. Carbohydrate loading using Maxim products prior to the event and replenishing carbohydrate during the event is crucial to prevent 'hitting the wall'.

Ingredients

Oat flakes (22,87%), glucose syrup, yoghurt coating (*20%), rice crisps (8,15%), raisins, maltodextrin, honey, raspberry (2,66%), sugar, apple, invert sugar syrup, fructose, lactose, passionfruit juice, flavourings, mango (0,11%), gelling agent (pectin), acidulant (citric acid), vegetable fat, thiamin (vitamin B1).

* Coating: sugar, cocoabutter, yoghurtpowder, lactose, emulsifier (lecithin), acidulant (citric acid), flavouring.

When to use it

Before, during and after high intensity endurance exercise, as part of a sports nutrition routine.
