What is it?

Citrus flavoured high energy carbohydrate gel.

How does it work?

Maxim Energy Gel consists of a form of easily digestible carbohydrate, designed to provide the body with instant energy during intense physical exercise.

For those exercising for periods of 90 minutes and above, or those who are doing repeated daily bouts of exercise, then carbohydrate loading to ensure adequate muscle energy is critical. In marathon and distance runners, where the duration of the exercise bout is over two hours, depletion of energy is common and is referred to as 'hitting the wall'. Carbohydrate loading using Maxim products prior to the event and replenishing carbohydrate during the event is crucial to prevent 'hitting the wall'.

Glucose syrup, water, flavourings, preservatives (potassium sorbate, sodium benzoate), vitamin B1.

When to use it

During exercise. The sachets are easy opening, meaning energy can be replenished on the run.
