What is in a Heat in a Click Pad?

Heat in a click is an instant, reusable and portable heating pad. After clicking a button on the pad, it will quickly heat up to 54°C (130°F). The pads aren't toxic and contain a solution made from salt called Sodium Acetate and are tightly sealed in a bag made from durable plastic.

Can you heat it in a microwave?

The short answer is no as it generally blows up like a balloon. So the best thing to do is follows the instructions and boil it in a pan of boiling water. If you decide to be a rebel and use a microwave, ensure the pad is fully submerged in water and monitor it frequently - but be aware we can't guarantee the product under these circumstances as the microwaves can decrease the products integrity.

I used it and it went hard?

Yes that should be expected, the chemical process releases heat as it turns from a liquid to a solid (you may have made volcano's at school? Same thing!).

How long do they last?

It depends on the size. Basically bigger is better so the larger the pad is the longer the warmth lasts. You can expect them to stay warm anywhere from 20 minutes to 2 hours depending on the size and age of the product (they get warmer the more they are used).

What if my pot is not big enough?

This is quite common. The one thing with these even if they are solid they can fold over on themselves, so you don't need a massive cauldron to re-set them.
