What is the Donjoy Ultra Sling II?

A high quality shoulder sling with breathable padded fabric, positioning system and exercise ball to promote shoulder healing.

When can I use it?

• To immobilise the shoulder and speed healing following shoulder dislocation and subluxation (partial dislocation).
• Following shoulder surgery such as Bankart repair, Capsular shift, rotator cuff repair and shoulder decompression where shoulder movement is prohibited.

Which size do I need?

Fits both left or right shoulder. Measure from the elbow to the middle of the little finger to get the length of sling required.

How does it work?

The padded breathable fabric, padded foam straps and foam positioning pad ensure that the Donjoy Ultra Sling II provides the most comfortable immobilisation possible for the treatment of shoulder injuries and shoulder surgery.

The foam positioning pad rests securely against the ribs and the forearm rests comfortably against it. This has several advantages over a normal sling. Firstly it's more comfortable and it allows air ventilation to the arm pit region. This helps to promote healing following shoulder surgery and reduces the risk of infection. Positioning the arm slightly out from the body also prevents the development of shrinking scar tissue at the shoulder, which can occur with a normal sling.

The exercise ball and quick release forearm panel allow forearm exercises that can prevent wrist, hand and finger stiffness and help to promote recovery by stimulating circulation. This is the best sling available for your shoulder problem.
