What is the Donjoy Podalux?

A protective shoe for use following Ingrowing toenail surgery, Hallux Valgus surgery (bunion surgery) and Hallux Rigidus surgery (big toe arthritis).

When can I use it?

Following foot surgery such as Hallux Valgus surgery (bunionectomie), Hallux Rigidus surgery (big toe arthritis) and Ingrowing toenail surgery.

Which size do I need?

Fits left and right foot. Based on UK shoe size.

• Small:
  Men's 3 - 4, Ladies' 2.5 - 3.5
• Medium:
  Men's 4.5 - 5.5, Ladies' 4 - 5
• Large:
  Men's 6 - 7, Ladies' 5.5 - 6.5
• X-Large:
  Men's 7.5 - 8, Ladies' 7 - 7.5
• XX-Large:
  Men's 8.5 - 11, Ladies' 8 - 11

How does it work?

This specially designed shoe is used following foot and toe surgery to keep the foot protected and in the best possible position during rehabilitation. It has a wide non skid sole to prevent slipping and damaging the operated area. The Donjoy Podalux has a removable rigid foot plate which enables the arch support and inner sole to have a variable firmness, depending on the desired post operative instructions and rehab protocols.

The Donjoy Podalux is fully lined with a micro-mesh fabric for improved patient comfort. It can be secured in place with two comfortable straps and has an open toe section to accommodate bulky dressings that may be in place following toe surgery and foot surgery
