What is it?

The Donjoy ArcticFlow Foot & Ankle Wrap is a fantastic value for money continuous ice therapy and compression device when used with the Donjoy Arctic Flow Cooler. Ice therapy and compression are the treatment of choice for ankle and foot swelling and pain that is common with a sprained ankle, ankle and foot bruising and following ankle and foot surgery.

How does it Work?

It's incredibly simple to use at home. The Donjoy ArcticFlow Cooler holds 3.5 litres of water and ice - enough for three hours of ice therapy - a much longer therapeutic period than an ice pack. A reservoir of ice cold water in the Cooler is attached to the latex free elastic Donjoy ArcticFlow Foot and Ankle Wraps which snugly fit the foot and ankle joint and once filled with ice water they provide ice therapy and compression.

Simply fill the Donjoy ArcticFlow Cooler with ice and water, slip the Donjoy ArcticFlow Foot and Ankle Wrap onto the foot and ankle and secure with the Velcro straps. Connect the Donjoy ArcticFlow Foot and Ankle Wrap to the Cooler with the tube provided to charge with iced water. Then disconnect the Wrap from the Cooler, and you're free to move around. The Foot and Ankle Wrap will stay cold for 30 minutes of ice therapy, then simply re-connect and recharge with more ice water.

By cooling the affected area there is immediate drug free pain relief. By slowing the metabolic reactions of inflammation there is also less secondary tissue damage - this limits the severity of your injury. And by applying compression, joint swelling is minimised - meaning you recover faster from your injury or surgery.
