An active support, with a high-reaching friction insert, for the relief of Achilles tendon pain and following Achilles tendon operations.
Measure the circumference of the leg immediately above the ankle. If you are between sizes, please choose the larger size.
Available in 3 colours: Black, Natural, Titan (Grey)
The new visco-elastic insert features soft, proprioceptive stimulating nubs on the inside, as well as longitudinal grooves. During movement, the nubs provide continuous transition between compression and decompression (similar to a friction massage) to accelerate the healing process, while the longitudinal grooves reduce swelling.
This active support has an anatomical knit, to provide an excellent fit and make it extremely comfortable to wear. An integrated stretch zone in the ventral tibia area of the knitted section eases putting on and removing the support, while a short-knit section in the foot area prevents pressure points on the metatarsal bones.
If needed, a heel lift, with shock-absorbing heel cushion, is recommended.
Bauerfeind Achilles Tendon supports are dispatched directly from the manufacturer in Germany and are usually received the next working day on orders placed before 1pm. However, please allow up to 5 days for delivery.
Please note - UK delivery only.

Excellant support, i was alittle worried about the price but i have to say after partially rupturing my achilles over 12 weeks ago, it has heeled and im back doing light running again with the aid of this support and i have so much conferenced in it. Well worth the money, the only down side is after time the little bobbles on the back can get a litle irritating but its worth it.

I've had achilles problems for a few years now and playing tennis regularly has never given me time to heal properly. I've used this support for 2 weeks and to be pain free already is a great surprise. I ran a 5k race with minimal discomfort and have no pain playing tennis anymore.
I would highly recommend this product!

I have worn this since my plaster came off (2 weeks ago) following surgery for a ruptured Achilles. It has helped reduce the swelling and provides much needed support while starting to walk and during my rehab exercises.
You can feel the beads in the support massaging the Achilles as you move. This is a really helpful product that I would recommend.

I bought this support two years ago when I got an achilles injury. It reduces oedema very effectively and I still use it daily when I run or cycle as it reduces the risk of developing further injury. It washes well and has stood up to lots of use.

It's expensive, but after suffering from Achilles tendonopathy for the last 5.5 years, I didn't care - I was ready to try anything.
It's bizarrely effective, the oedema that had built up along the length of the tendon has reduced. The swelling along the tendon has gone down. It's exceptionally comfortable to wear and seems very effective.
I ran a marathon and the wore the support for a few days after and the tendon was happier than it's been in years. Worth the cost as I had given up hope of anything working after 5.5 years of pain. I'm now relatively pain-free and expect further improvement over the next few weeks.

When I first opened the package I was a little disappointed.
However I wore the support and it is incredible. The construction means that it very comfortable to wear causing no irritation at all.
I would give this a big thumbs up to everyone who suffers with Achilles tendon problems.

I really questioned whether it was worth spending nearly £100 on an achilles support, but really glad I did. Was money well spent. I have had 2 ops on my achilles due to tendinosis and struggled to walk, let alone run afterwards. Found this support very comfortable to wear whilst walking and also whilst running. It can get a bit uncomfortable at times due to the little nodules rubbing on the back of my leg but this is meant to promote healing anyway. Makes my achilles feel a lot more secure and I'm not as fearful of injuring myself when I'm wearing it.

Was a little worried that spending this amount was risky, as I would need to try it out for a few times before you really know if it was any good. BUT it's brilliant - I had ruptured my achilles, had an op immediately after the incident and am now in the rehab phase - physio thinks it's a good strap and I feel confident in moving around the netball court again with it on.... would recommend.
