A lightweight, water resistant brace for use following a broken wrist or wrist surgery.
Following a broken wrist or wrist surgery.
Measure around wrist at widest point.
It has two ventilated shells that provide a lightweight alternative to a plaster cast for a broken wrist. The hard external shells have two aircells inside that can be inflated with a hand bulb (provided) to get a perfect custom fit and reduce wrist swelling.
The inner surface of the StabilAir™ Wrist Orthosis is lined with moisture wicking material for breathability and unbeatable comfort. It can be applied quickly and easily by fastening the two Velcro straps.
The StabilAir™ Wrist Orthosis is much more comfortable than a plaster cast if you have a wrist fracture or have had wrist surgery. It's lighter, more comfortable, reduces wrist swelling and allows better patient hygiene.

Our 8 year old daughter has broken her arm 3 times in 9 months, twice very badly - horrendous luck. We were going on holiday to Greece and wanted her to swim etc otherwise it would be a miserable time for all. The aircast was much appreciated by her specialist who only allowed the fibreglass cast removed if we took and used the cast. It is easy to fit (once you have done it twice), it is light, supportive and protective. It allows use of the hand and the fact that it is easily removed means that it can be cleaned and dried as can the arm beneath. Using it in sea water didn't present too much of a problem though it did make the rivets rust...but that was our choice to allow that. I cannot recommend it highly enough. The service from PhysioRoom was faultless.

I bought this for my broken radius wrist fracture. The consultant was impressed as he thought it ideal for me instead of a plaster cast.I could not tolerate a plaster cast as they smell they make you itch and as your arm gets thinner its seems useless for its reason to have one.I have my radius healed in three weeks instead of six and being 80 years old with thinning bones I felt it exellent. The comfort it gave me was wonderful.as you can loosen or tighten it to suit your arm.I really feel that to have this on your arm looked safisticated and in keeping with the injury.Far better than the plaster cast.I have now moved on to the wrist strap which I am sure will be equally as comfortable to enable me to exercise this break now it has healed so fast with the aircast StableAir.which is light and airy to the skin.I am so pleased that I found this web site.
