What is the Aircast AirSport Ankle Brace?
One of our best selling sports ankle braces to prevent a sprained ankle. It's lightweight but the comfortable plastic stirrups and Velcro straps provide ankle support and restraint. The Aircast AirSport Ankle Brace offers maximum support to your ankle, slightly more than its sister product, the Aircast A60 Ankle Brace.
When can I use it?

Which size do I need?
Based on UK men's shoe size.
- Small 5-7.5 (Ladies 4.5-6.5)
- Medium 8-10.5 (Ladies 7-9.5)
- Large 11-13 (Ladies 10-13)
How does it work?
The Aircast AirSport Ankle Brace incorporates clinically proven Air-Stirrup Ankle Brace features, such as a semi-rigid shell and AirCells, to provide comfort and support on both sides of the ankle. This can also be very effective in the treatment of a sprained ankle, Tarsal Tunnel Syndrome, ankle instability or following a broken ankle.
Additional compression and stabilisation is provided by the ATF (Anterior TaloFibular ligament) Velcro cross strap and integral forefoot and shin wraps. This compression is very effective in the treatment of a swollen ankle. Once strapped in place this brace limits ankle movement in order to prevent the ankle rolling over.

“Air cast ankle brace”

I have suffered serious ankle problems which has effected my ability to play sports. Since buying these supports I have been able to start playing 5 a side and other sports.
I would highly recommend these to anyone who needs heavy support to their ankles

I managed to break off the very bottom of my lateral malleolus a week ago (broken ankle) and did a fair bit of damage to the surrounding tendons - having escaped plaster and only being given a tubigrip I was very concerned about rolling over on my ankle again at a dog agility competition this weekend. This brace is absolutely perfect - it fits well (though i would probably recommend buying a medium if you are a wide 6.5 with chunky legs!!) and is very easy to put on. The product came next working day as promised with free delivery for spending over £65! Infact - it only came on monday and I have already recommended it to a friend!

Bought this after tearing some ankle ligaments windsurfing (so I could still work). It stops your ankle rolling over whilst it is healing, I even use this windsurfing now for extra support. Be aware it is quite bulky above your ankle for boots etc although I see they also do the A60 which is lighter.

With one ligament left to me, I need all the support I can get! From Day 1 of wearing the Aircast I've been a big fan. Within minutes of wearing it for the first time, I was able to put it and my chronically unstable ankle out of my mind. It is very comfortable and keeps the ankle snug and protected. I don't find it 'bulky' in the least.
Minor word of caution: early on I took a couple of dramatic tumbles where I'd say I probably 'catapulted' over the brace, but this was preferable to turning the ankle (again); since this hasn't happened for a while I may simply have got used to wearing it and adapted my movement marginally.
I'll wear this to the grave.

It really stops you from twisting your ankle. It also allow you to play tennis normally. I cannot put it on very fast, but I have never been good at this anyway.
