How do they work?
These socks contain a mixture of cotton, Tactel®, Lycra and polypropelene and are constructed with a continuous supportive seam right around the ankle joint. Both sides as well as the front and back of the ankle are compressed and supported. This helps to prevent, treat and rehabilitate ankle and rear foot injuries, also to provide ankle pain relief for ankle arthritis and following an ankle injury.
1000 Mile Support Socks provide the usual high quality and comfort of the 1000 Mile sock range, and are ideal when you need ankle pain relief but don't want to wear an ankle support or brace.
The fabric includes Tactel®, which provides moisture management for fresh dry feet, whilst a flat toes seam ensures maximum comfort.

I broke my ankle at 14, and then had a car run over my foot resulting in hair line fractures across the bridge of my foot, whilst I was young no problem, but now I am older I suffer with painful arthritis in both the ankle and foot, as I walk it feels the bones are shifting against each other, and it becomes so painful to walk, I unfortunatly suffer side effects to opiates, so its get on with the pain, until I tried these socks, They are great, I wear them to work, wonderful no pain in walking, they seem to keep my foot together, I tried them on a bad day, I must say I expected nothing to change, how wrong I was. They may be expensive, but being with out pain, they are worth it. I will have to try out the walking socks, if they are as good as these, my life has been turned around.
