“Made such a difference!!”

My husband had PCL reconstruction surgery after a nasty tackle 14 months ago whilst playing football. The hospital used the Aircast Knee Cyro Cuff and Cooler after the surgery but we were not allowed to bring them home. He was discharged on Friday and the frozen ice packs just weren't having the same affect, so I went on to the PhysioRoom website Saturday morning and at 9:40 am Monday (25 minutes ago) it arrived. He is now wrapped up and chilling nicely. What outstanding service of an device that is definitely worth the money. Yes it is expensive but in order to have the best shot at recovery for long term stability - I believe it's worth it!! Thank you so much for the awesome service :)

“My lifesaver”

Reviewed by Lindyloo54321

Following a Total Knee Replacement op 2 weeks ago, the hospital used the Aircast Cryo/Cuff. Even whilst in hospital, this provided immediate relief to any discomfort I felt. Before I was discharged, I wrote down the manufacturer's name, and as soon as I was home (48 hours after the op), I ordered one. I opted for (paid for) next day delivery, and the item was delivered bang on time. What can I say? This amazing product has been a life-saver. I've got a fairly high pain threshold usually, but found myself taking more painkillers during recovery time, than I'd usually take in a year. The cuff is very easy to use, and provides instant relief, as well as greatly assisting the swollen knee to reduce in size. I'm having my second knee done in 3 months time, and feel reassured that this fantastic item will help me greatly as soon as I'm home. One tip I'd suggest is - instead of having to keep buying ready-made ice cubes, we filled up plastic soup containers (washed of course!) with water. They were much easier to store, and because of the size of the ice, the 'ice bucket' lasts even longer. I wouldn't be without it. Pricy? Yes, but worth every penny.

I am due for a knee replacement in the near future so purchased a knee cryo/cuff with cooler to help reduce current swelling and pain and then to use once I have had surgery. The cuff and cooler are easy to use and do the job very well. I'm sure it will be extremely useful after surgery.

Have been using this product for 3 weeks continually after a total knee replacement. Looked at the reviews on here 1st before I bought it. In no doubt the best product I have ever bought before for post operation recovery. It has made a massive difference being able to ice and under slight compression so easily, without the hassle of frozen peas etc. Waking in the night in pain you can leave it by the bedside and treat immediately. If you are questioning whether a it's worth it then don't. This is the 1st review I've ever placed and if it helps just one person who is facing knee replacement pain then it's worth my review.

I've had two ACL reconstructions without this product and I've recently had a third where I used this before and after surgery. I ruptured my ACL 9 weeks ago and still having problems with swelling and pain decided to try this instead of constantly having to fill ice packs. I'm only using it for 20-30 mins, 3 or 4 times a day but it's great just to be able to sit down and it's there ready to use. I've found that by making giant ice cubes (by freezing some water in a food tray) and adding this to the water in the cooler along with a tray of small ice cubes at the start of the day, the water in the cooler stays cold enough for at least 12 hours. I'm due for an ACL reconstruction in 5 weeks and I will definitely be using this product during my recovery. I can't recommend it enough for easy and efficient icing, worth every penny.

I had my ACL reconstructed a few days ago and have started to use the Cryo Cuff just this morning. It is the most comfortable i've been since the operation and it feels heavenly on my knee. My physio has recommended 30 minutes sessions to go along with stretches rather than keep it on all the time but already flexibility has improved. I can't recommend enough.

First experience with this product was in hospital during my knee replacement. While there it did ease the pain and reduce swelling. When I came home the wife purchased this item. We kept refreshing the water to keep it cold and used the cuff a lot especially at night. Can not express how much it helped reduce the pain and the swelling. Physio was amazed my flexibility in the knee improved so quickly and so much in just 4 weeks post op. Credit the cuff for this recovery.

A fantastic product that i have used before in the past and now plan on using throughout my ACL reconstruction rehab and is so much better than using frozen vegatables or ice packs. Would recommend to anyone when buying one.

I shopped around for a while online and found this website the cheapest by at least 30-40 in all other places. Great buy.

I used frozen peas as a ice therapy for 4 months after having both cartilages, lunge groove and acl surgery and only saw gradual improvement during this time. After 2 weeks use of the cryo cuff I was back in regular training without the need for painkillers.

I do find that best results come from cycling the water every 30 minutes, which reduces the time between restocking the ice down to about 4-5 hours

“Indispensible for knee surgery”

If you're contemplating knee surgery of any kind, one of these is essential! I bought one for my knee replacement last year and couldn't have done without it. It's the perfect enhancement for pain meds and actually helps you manage with less! I had mine on for hours every day - it was bliss.

I also recommend them to all my patients and anyone else I come into contact with that's having a knee replacement. You don't use it for long (3-6 weeks) but it's worth every penny!

“Very Good - Dont delay in buying one !”

This is a great bit of Kit. Had my ACL reconstructed 5 weeks ago. Started off using peas but then bought myself one of these and the difference is amazing. The compression added to to the ice treatment really speeds up my recovery. Some reviews talk about this lasting all day. I disagree, you probably get about 4 hours use before you need to change the ice. Talk of it lasting all day is, I feel, not accurate. Apart from that though this is a really good aid to recovery, get one now !

“Buy one now!”

I really wish I had bought one of these straight after my op-I fill it with ice and water (I buy bags of ice from my local newsagent) and use it every couple of hours and it is SOO effective. The cold with the pressure of the wrap has really brought my swelling down, I'm so pleased with it. I fill it once first thing in the morning and it often still has ice in it when I go to bed. I have no idea how but it is amazing and a million times better than using those ice pack things. I resisted buying one of these to start with because of the price but after struggling with stupid ice packs for so long I just went for it. Wish I'd got one from the beginning! If you're post op and needing to bring the swelling down you MUST get one of these!

“Very comfortable, professional tool to ease pain & swelling.”

Reviewed by Jan Geeves

I had initially purchased the 'coldone' for swelling reduction after my total knee replacement which worked well. However, its important to do as much exercise as poss for best recovery and I found I needed to ice my knee before and after exercising for the maximum comfort. This was impossible with just one ice pack and too difficult for me to keep making trips to the freezer with bags of ice/peas. The cryocuff fits superbly comfortably over the knee - with really soft straps to attach. The chiller is a neat 'icebox' that you fill with ice and water and then use to fill the knee cuff through a vacuum system. Once the cuff is filled you can detach the tube easily and be able to move freely. After using you attach the tube again and the water drains back into the chiller. After mixing with the remaining ice it is ready to use again any time. Well worth the investment!

“Very easy to use, highly recommended.”

Reviewed by Will John

Having used ice packs for 4 weeks post surgery, I bought the Cryo Cuff and have been very pleased with the purchase.
I snapped my ACL and tore my MCL in a skiing accident, and while ice packs helped cool the swelling, they did little to reduce the inflammation. The Cryo Cuff both cools and applies compression to the knee.
The only real downside is the slightly cumbersome cooling tank it comes with, which you have to raise to fill the knee brace with cooled water, and lower again when draining the brace when the water warms up.
I'd recommend if you want to minimise the hassle associated with icing the knee, and want to get the swelling down quickly.
