“Excellent support for Netball”
Having moved to this from the lace up version, it is an enormous improvement. More room in my trainer, not as bulky underfoot, my trainer laces are not shortened by the bulk of the support. Feels comfortable and supportive. Easier and quicker to put on and remove. My toes no longer feel sore from hitting the end of my trainer as this support does not move inside the shoe.
“Great strap for injury returns”
Great ankle brace.
Use them when I have a recurring injury which feels weak but I still want to play. Normal elasticted ankle straps don't protect or restrict bad movements like this one does. After a couple of weeks you can trade down to a lighter strap. Means I can play a lot earlier than I normally would.
Each strap lasts for about 50-75 hours before it needs replaced. But that's squash and, unlike tennis, you actually have to move.
“Excellent function, very poor durability”
Your records will show I have purchased 5 of these products over a short time. They are a good palliative to deal with my unstable ankle.
However, they are expensive but do not last very long without looking extremely unsightly. The white webbing retainer of the plastic U support develops holes very quickly when it rubs on footwear.
Very disappointing feature of an essentially excellent product
“Aircast A60 functions as designed; Murray is right.”
Unmentioned in the product description is the fact that A60 White can be machine-washed. The fact that it does not require hand-washing is a big benefit because it does soon become dirty with normal wear. I find wearing an alpaca sock cushion inside is beneficial because when tightened the brace can wear sore spots depending upon the disfigurement of the ankle joint.
“Andy Murray's Aircast A60 ankle support”
Rolled my ankle or at least pulled a piece of bone away playing tennis. This was just so good compared to the enormous boot the hospital gave me and so much more comfortable in the hot weather, I will probably use it all the time now when I play again. Even the physio thought it was brilliant too. Might even get one for the other ankle!
“I couldn't play without this”
This is the best ankle brace that I've used for the money. I use this playing soccer and it's perfect for that. It fits pretty well in the shoe so you don't feel it as much as you do with a Mueller brace. I've recommended to friends who have bought one and thanked me for it. I couldn't play without this.
Plaster off, flew out on holiday following day using this product, enabled me to walk with just one crutch, great success.
“The ankle brace made a significant difference in supporting ”
The A60 ankle brace was recommended to me and I have been pleased that I followed up on that recommendation. The brace is comfortable to wear and helps to relieve the discomfort from the injury.
It has also given me more mobility and confidence to use the ankle normally without the tension of being over cautious in it's use. The quality of the product is excellent.
“The A60 is an A-Number One ankle support.”
This ankle brace provides excellent lateral joint support. Contrary to my initial concern, the brace did not abraid the joint bones even when I tightened the support firmly. Underfoot arch support was present where in other braces I have tried it was lacking. I have been able to wear this ankle brace all day long without irritation.
“Does a job”
I purchased this support as I have problems with an ankle injury. I have now returned to playing Badminton, and rather than use the bulky brace that I wear for everyday use, I got this one. If its good enough for Andy Murray, it's good enough for me. You slot your foot into it and then tighten it using the Velcro strap, the two solid sides then close in on your foot, thereby keeping your ankle in place. I have used it about five times and it is working well, and is also barely noticeable if you wear white socks! It doesn't seem like its been particularly well made, but I suppose that's to keep it light and hopefully it will last me a few months. After all, I don't have Murrays money! I am happy with it though and that's the main thing.
“Very supportive & does a good job”
I have severe osteoarthritis in my ankle & this ankle brace gives it lots of support & protects it from further damage.
“Great support and lightweight”
Love this ankle brace. It has really helped me following a not very successful ankle op, whereby I still need support. Use it for driving, shopping and walking long distances. It's very comfortable and lightweight. Also easy to get on and off and the ankle feel really supported. Only reason I discounted one star is that the webbing is inclined to hole. I had to return the first one - promptly replaced by PhysioRoom, but the second one also had problems with the webbing and I have a couple of holes in that too. That said, I would still buy another one as the brace is really comfortable and supportive.
Mrs Carole Spencer
Excellent for the problem I have being a dropped foot, I have a N.H. Splint which is large and cumbersome so this is a great improvement thank you.
